Handy Manny Party Food

handy manny foodYou’ve got your tool box filled with chips and dip and your cookies in the shape of different tools, but what in the world can you serve that is filling and healthy for your guests? If you want to build on the theme, you can find corkscrew-shaped pasta and make this special dish in honor of Handy Manny:

Handy Manny Pasta and Cheese

  • Cook the spiral pasta according to the package and set aside.
  • In a cooking pot, melt 3 tablespoons of margarine.
  • Add 2 Tablespoons of flour, mix, add 3 cups of milk and 3 cups of Velveeta cheese (or any
  • kind you like), and mix again.
  • Pour over the noodles and mix. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or keep warm in a crockpot until you are ready to serve.

For an alternative, simple Spanish dish, make some super-easy quesadillas with tortillas and cheese. Serve a fruit tray or a veggie tray to balance out the meal, and provide a few drink choices like single-serving milk drinks (i.e. Chugs in different flavors), juice boxes, or children’s sized water bottles.

Don't forget your Handy Manny Tableware where you can get themed party plates, napkins and cups. These help to set the mood. And more importantly help with the clean-up!

Everyone will be expecting that you have some sort of cake at this party, but keep it simple, because the ice cream bar is what guests are likely to remember. You can buy edible cake toppers featuring Handy Manny or a variety of different tools. Or, make a regular cake, frost and add sprinkles to it, write your birthday message; top the cake with your own tools - chocolate tools, gummy tools, tool-shaped lollipops, or your homemade tool cookies.

Ice Cream Bar

Compliment your cake with an ice cream bar where guests can make their own sundaes. Use a clean nail and screw storage box to organize a variety of ice cream toppings, like Reese’s Pieces, M & Ms, gummy worms, sprinkles, crunch coating, peanuts (check for allergies first), Skittles, crumbled Oreos, mini marshmallows, Nerds, chocolate chips, Cocoa Puff cereal pieces, or anything else you choose. The guests simply get to choose whatever topping that they want on their ice-cream and we mean whatever topping they want! Your guests will love making their own sweet treat!
